Rift Cleric Healing Build Guide
Welcome to our series on class builds for Rift, in this article we will be talking about our recommended Rift Cleric Healing Build. We will discuss what is so good about the build, as well as give a general overview of the build and what it does, show some of the key abilities in the build, and give you some general tips about playing the build.
I encourage you to take some time to practice with each build you want to try out to see exactly how it all works after reading our information, these builds aren’t for everyone, you may be looking for a more ranged or more melee DPS build or looking for an AOE heal as opposed to single-target heal build.
Rift Cleric Healing Build – Overview
This is a fire based healing build, we use Purifier as our main soul, followed by Warden, followed by Sentinel. This gives us a lot of really great healing abilities as well as passive stat bonuses to increase the effectiveness of said heals. The build uses 34 points into Purifier, 21 into Warden, and the remaining 11 into Sentinel.
Rift Cleric Healing Build – Important Talents
With any of our builds feel free to switch around some talents here and there to better suit your playstyle, but in this section I’m going to list some talents that I find very important and why.
Flame Speaker – This increases your crit chance, so its pretty important to take this talent.
Spirit Guidance – Increases your Wisdom my 1% per point, actually you may want to consider taking a point out of Flame Ward and putting it into the last one available here depending on if you aren’t taking much damage in fights.
Ancestral Flame – Really nice talent here, it adds a great shield to the target of your Restorative Flame spell, great thing to add to your Rift Cleric Healing Build.
Latent Blaze – This is a really great ability to cast on the tank to give them that extra help when they drop under 30% health when they need it the most.
Intense Flames - Definitely a great talent to take, simply increases the effectiveness of some of your best heals.
Benediction – Increases the effectiveness of your heals by 5%, easy choice to take here.
Light Concentration – Reduces the mana cost of heals, this may be more important early on when hit level 50 but become less important when you get better gear. Keep in mind later on or even now if mana isn’t an issue that you can easily put these points into Purifier for some other great healing effectiveness talents and also a nice 36 pt ability you gain.
Rift Cleric Healing Build – Conclusion
You now have all the information you need to start trying out my recommended Rift Cleric Healing Build, please note I recommend this for raiding and instances, not PvP or leveling, if you are interested in those builds please check out the other guides in this series where we will talk about those.

Rift Warrior DPS Build Overview
This is a melee DPS based build, the main soul we are going to be using is Champion, followed by Beastmaster, followed by Riftblade. We will be putting 51 points into Champion because pretty much all of its talents prove useful as well as it has a very nice 51 point ability. We put 5 and 5 into Riftblade and Beastmaster for some useful talents in the first tier of each.
Also we receive a pet for extra damage just by choosing Beastmaster as one of our souls, which is also why I recommend it for a very high damage rift warrior dps build.
Rift Warrior DPS Build – Important Talents
With any of our builds feel free to switch around some talents here and there to better suit your playstyle, but in this section I’m going to list some talents that I find very important and why.
Titan’s Strength/Survival of the Fittest – Both great tier 1 talents that I wouldn’t recommend switching.
2H Specialization/Cruel Efficient – Both great damage boosters while wielding a 2H weapon (so use a 2h!!!)
Proper Timing – A guaranteed critical hit, this is always very nice to have in your arsenal of abilities.
Titan’s Strike – This is the 31pt talent for Warriors, it deals A LOT of damage to multiple enemies, there’s no reason to not take this.
Destroyer’s Bearing – This is the 51pt ability you receive in Champion, basically it’s just a buff but it is a very nice buff, and thats why we put 51 points into Champion.
Rift Warrior DPS Build – Conclusion
You now have all the information you need to start trying out my recommended Rift Warrior DPS Build, please note I recommend this for raiding and instances, not PvP or leveling, if you are interested in those builds please check out the other guides in this series where we will talk about those.
Keep in mind there are a lot of great Warrior builds, although I chose this as my rift warrior DPS Build, there are still a few others that are beneficial
Rift Mage DPS Build Guide
Welcome to our series on class builds for Rift, in this article we will be talking about our recommended Rift Mage DPS Build. Rift Mage DPS Build Overview
This mage build is a caster DPS based build, and we use the souls Stormcaller, followed by Elemental Summoner, followed by Dominator. We use Dominator only for the CC capabilities and that is about it, the reason why is I found there aren’t any other beneficial souls with early talents or 0pt abilities that will help out this build that much.
However, using Stormcaller to get a very high amount of damage from spells paired with 31 points into Elemental Summoner to give you an extremely powerful pet at the same time works very well in causing a lot of damage in raids, and I found it was the best rift mage dps build for me.
Rift Mage DPS Build – Important Talents
With any of our builds feel free to switch around some talents here and there to better suit your playstyle, but in this section I’m going to list some talents that I find very important and why.
Honestly, this build was pretty hard to put together because so many of the talents would have been useful and sometimes I had to take things out of Stormcaller that would have been great, but I needed them in Elemental Summoner too because they are also great.
Therefore in this build especially don’t be afraid to try switching some things.
High Voltage/Lightning Mastery – These are great buffs to all your air spells, so make sure to keep these.
Wind Chill – This isn’t that great of a PvE talent but can be nice if there are a lot of adds that have aggro on you to use this and get them off.
Static Barrier/Charged Field/Lightning Storm – Good AoE for killing adds.
Biting Cold – Great for all spells, keep this.
Exposure – Gives you some extra damage on your main target.
Tempest – Actually I struggled not putting 3/3 in this for my rift mage dps build, you could easily remove Wind Chill and put another point in here.
Weathered/Force of Nature/Planar Expansion – All great points for you elemental pet, if you can find 3 points in Stormcaller that you find don’t really benefit you, taking those out and putting them in here could be beneficial. (talking about Planar Expansion)
Ride the Wind – Great for getting out of sticky situations, and getting back into range of an enemy if you’re knocked out or whatever the case may be.

Rift Cleric DPS Build – Overview
This is a ranged caster based build, the main soul we will use is Cabalist, followed by Inquisitor, followed by Sentinel. This build has a lot of critical hit damage increasing talents as well as crit rating. In addition to that, we also get a lot of increased Spell Power. This build provides the opportunity to easily nuke down enemies in a very timely manner.

Rift Cleric DPS Build – Important Talents
With any of our builds feel free to switch around some talents here and there to better suit your playstyle, but in this section I’m going to list some talents that I find very important and why.
Watchful Gaze/Stroke of Genius – These talents both give 5% increased Spell Power, which is an obvious must have.
Unholy Tutelage (Inquisitor tier 2) – I find this useful because it saves a very large portion of my mana, also when coupled with Aggressive Renewal in the next tier you have a very large amount of mana regen.
Curse of Solitude – This is a great talent ability for some really high AoE damage as well as a nice DoT to put on your main target.
Walk in the Light/Fanatic’s Faith – Both of these talents give you a lot of critical hit damage increase, which is going to make your crits even more important (which is why stacking crit may be a good idea for this build)
Death’s Grasp – Increases your spell damage, so really no question whether or not you should take it or not.
Luminous Gaze – Also helps with crit, when you have this in addition to the crit damage increase and crit rating talents, it really helps your damage out a lot.
Rift Cleric DPS Build – General Tips
For single target fights I like to follow a semi-simple rotation, for the most part this is what I use but keep in mind if you find something that works better for you don’t hesitate to use that instead, thats one of the key points to playing your character to it’s fullest potential.
Banish/Vex -> Obliterate -> Distorted Shadows ->Shadow’s Touch
This rotation may change from fight to fight depending on boss resistances and other factors, if there is a lot of movement involved you may want to use abilities like Sanction’s Heretic and Life’s Vengeance as they are instant cast and make movement fights a lot easier to keep steady damage going.

Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront Guide
Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront Guide
In this Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront guide we will be looking into the Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront. You will be having access to many warfronts in Rift. They are pretty much mini games which are PvP oriented. You can use them to level up and gain Faction reputation and currency to get some really good gear.
Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront Overview
For the Rift Whitefall Steppes you will need to be at a minimum of level 30 to queue for the first bracket. There are around 6-15 players per team. The main agenda is to be the first team to capture three flags and get them back to your base. At the end of 20 minutes whichever team has the most flag captures will win the Warfront.
TheRift Whitefall Steppes Warfront is a very easy warfront. Anyone who has played capture the flag type games will be familiar with this concept. Each team starts at their own sides, near their flag. There is a large area between both the sides. You will need to cross this open area to the enemy side, either alone or with a team to take the opponents flag. You will then need to carry that flag back to your base to score a point.
You need to have your flag at your base to score a point. If you are holding the enemy flag at your base and your flag is missing, then you won’t be able to score a point. So you need to kill the enemy player who is holding your flag and return it to your base so that you can get a point with the enemy flag.
When a flag holder dies, the enemy flag is dropped on the ground. The flag holder’s allies can pick up the flag and carry it, but if the team who’s flag is dropped click the flag, the flag will get returned to their base.
Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront Strategy Guide
There is no strategy that can get you a guaranteed win. You will require good team play and communication. Communication is the key to all team oriented games.
Learn to focus fire down your enemies. If a group of you encounter a group of enemies in the Warfront and each of you pick an opponent then you will go down faster than the enemies if they focus fire each of you.
You should know that killing healers first. If you keep attacking the flag carrier, and the carrier is being healed by many healers, then you are just wasting your time killing the carrier as he isn’t gonna die. So kill as many healers as possible, then nuke the flag carrier down. You need judge how many of you are there and how many enemy healers are there, depending on that you need to decide how many healers to kill.
Moving in big groups is the best idea. There is no reason for defense here. You can all rush to the enemy, get the flag and try and engage the enemy flag carrier in the middle. If you get the flag carrier then you can return the flag to your base and score a point with the enemy flag.
That is all for Rift Whitefall Steppes Warfront guide. Feel free to look through the rest of the guides to improve your game play.
Rift Codex Warfront Guide
Rift Codex Warfont Guide
In this Rift Codex Warfront guide, we will be discussing Rift Codex Warfront. In rift, we will have access to several warfronts. To say, Warfronts are generally PvP based mini-games which can be helpful to gain Faction , level-up & currency to purchase some really awesome gear.
Rift Codex Warfront Guide
In the following series of warfront guides, we will be discussing each of the different warfronts, the winning strategy, its requirements & various aspects to them.
Rift Codex Warfront Overview
You need to be atleast at level 20 to queue for the first bracket, for the Codex warfront in rift. For each team, it comprises of a minimum 6-15 players and the prime target to win is to be the first team to achieve 1000 points. But, after 15 minutes, the game automatically terminates, and the player with the maximum points will naturally be a winner.
Now that we have seen the basic layout at what the Codex is, we’ll concentrate on how to win by earning points. In Codex, there are four various “nodes” which we can control, and the more nodes we control, the more points we gain. The 4 different nodes are:- The codex, The vault, Statue of Thonic, and the Translation Scope.
By controlling the Codex, helps the team to gain the maximum points. The only difference is that if we control all three of the other nodes, we will marginally earn more points, than by controlling the Codex. Each node is approximately 2 points each, whereas the Codex is for 5 pts.
That’s not the only thing about it, if we control the Codex, all individual nodes controlled after is then worth 3 points. This permits us to gain a substantial 14 points at a time.
Rift Codex Warfront Strategy
For actually playing the Rift Codex Warfront, we should try our very best to control the Codex at all times, as this helps gain the most points as well as give our nodes more points. We probably would want to make the Codex our first priority and then if we are in the Defiant faction, the second priority will be the Translation Scope of Thontic if we’re a Guardian.
If we are controlling the Codex and one node, we will be earning 8 points , however the opposite team will earn the maximum of 4 points giving us a very safe lead continuously throughout the game. Obviously, if everything is going on very easily, we’ll be able to storm through and take control of all the given nodes and win points very quicky.
But this is not always easy as it sounds because there is no sure-shot way to win In the Codex. There are few various strategies and techniques we can try and none of then are guaranteed to work fine everytime.
One very common and usual way is to ‘Zerg’ the codex and carry it while few other teammates present and the rest go to the second priority node to take control while the team splits up and camps these nodes. This doesn’t always prove to be helpful as the other team is able to zerg one of our nodes, and easily eradicate everyone out.
There is something a lot of people like to do, ie zerg one node and immediately all move to the next. This doesn’t work very well as we leave a previous node with hardly anyone here to depend and is easily recaptured.
The best foolproof way to win in the Rift Codex Warfront is communication. If you ever see a large group coming towards your node, we need to call it out and everyone is obligated to listen and quicly move to the node being attacked. You will win, if you’re able to communicate better than the opposite team.
That’s all you have it. This is the information we need to start dominating the Rift Codex Warfront. Please be totally sure to check out our other guides in the warfront series, or some other available class guides to help us dominate all the more.
Rift Warrior Leveling Guide
Rift Warrior Leveling Guide
In this Rift Warrior Leveling Guide, you will learn one of the most effective ways to level. If you are finding it hard to level in this game, then use the Rift Warrior Leveling guide
.
Rift Warrior Leveling Guide Part 1 (Soul Selection)
In Rift, we will be able to choose from 8 different souls and at a time, you can select up to 4 different souls at a time.
For the Warrior our first soul will be the Champion. We mainly take this soul for the Bull Rush ability. This is like a charge ability, which speeds up leveling as it is on a very short cooldown. Four points into the Champion tree you will unlock Soldier’s Bearing which is a 5 % damage buff. Take No Prisoners is also a similar spell which increases your damage. Do take this spell. The Champion soul of the Warrior calling has many such talents which increases your damage. In this Rift Warrior Leveling Guide we will learn how to harness such strengths.
The second soul to be chosen in the Riftblade . This is a great soul as it does good damage with low stats, as stats don’t affect this Soul’s damage. Later on this becomes weak as the damage remains the same even when stats grow.
This soul is primarily a ranged soul. Due to this you can do some damage from ranged with abilities like Flame Spear and Fiery Burst, which actually do more damage than the Champion Soul’s Power Strike and Punishing Blow. At early levels you will want to put 5 points into Elemental Flux, 1 point into Freeze Armor and 3 points into Rift Fury.
The third Warrior soul which we will select is the Paragon. At level 18, you will want to respect and make Paragon your main soul. After 18, Paragon becomes the best leveling soul.
With the Paragon you will get powerful abilities such as Path of the Wind, Raptor and Tempest. These are ranged abilities. You can dish out massive amounts damage from a distance.
Rift Warrior Leveling Guide Part 2 ( Talent Point Allocation )
After level 18 you will make the Paragon soul your main soul. You will want to put 5 points into Duality of Mind, 5 points into Teaching of the Five Rings, 3 points Double Jeopardy and 1 points into Predicable Movements. Deeper into the tree you will take Wrist Strike and put in three points for Grace of the Five Rings. After this need to take every single talent in the Paragon tree, except Run Like the Wind.
After the Paragon tree is done you will want to put in excess points into the Champion tree. Take 4 points of Take No Prisoners in the first tier. This will unlock Slayer’s Bearing which is a great leveling talent. Now we can move onto the Riftblade Tree.
The first tier of Riftblade will be full points in Elemental Deflection, Freeze Armor and full Rift Fury. Take only 1 point of Surging Energy. Put in all 5 points for Static Shock and Earth Burst. In the fourth tier take Elemental Touch, and Rift Surge. In the final tier take Riftwalk and Elemental Blade.
Rift Warrior Leveling Guide Part 3 (Playstyle)
Use this rotation priority for leveling
Dual Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Dual Strike -> Strike Like Iron -> Rising Waterfall -> Dual Strike -> Rising Waterfall -> Shifting Blades.
Try alternating between Predictable Movements and Bend Like the Reed, you will take little damage and do good amounts of damage in return. The Warrior is one of the easiest callings to level in Rift. You shouldn’t be having much problems if you have followed this Rift Warrior Leveling Guide.
We have seen how to level easily with the Warrior calling in this Rift Warrior Leveling Guide, for other callings have a look at

Rift Cleric Leveling Guide
Rift Cleric Leveling Guide
In this Rift Cleric Leveling Guide, you will learn one of the most effective ways to level. If you are finding it hard to level in this game, then use the Rift Cleric Leveling guide.
Rift Cleric Leveling Guide Part 1 (Soul Selection)
In this part of the Rift Cleric Leveling Guide will see the souls needed for leveling
The Cleric calling is a bit weak at lower levels, and you will find it a bit hard to level at the start. Do not get discouraged by this. At higher levels the damage picks up and you will be leveling with ease. Use this Rift Cleric Leveling Guide , so that you don’t find it hard to level at lower levels.
In Rift, you can use upto 4 souls at once. So when you are bored of one play style, you can easily switch between souls.
The main soul you will be using for leveling will be the Justicar. You will need to put 5 points in Hammer of Virtue for increased damage. As a Justicar you will mostly be using Maces. 2 Handed Maces for DPS and a combination of 1 Handed Mace and a shield for tanking.
Your second soul will be the Druid. The Druid is taken just because of the Faerie pet it gets. The pet is pretty weak, but because of the HoT it puts on the Cleric makes it a very useful leveling instrument. You will not be putting any points into this tree. Its only taken for the pet.
The third soul you will be taking is the Shaman. The shaman has many talents which will increase your damage. This will ease your leveling at later levels.
Rift Cleric Leveling Guide Part 2 (Talent Point Allocation):
In this part of the Cleric Leveling Guide we will look at the different talents to be selected for leveling.
For the initial 10 levels, you will be mostly investing your talent points in the Justicar tree. At level 6, you will want to take Doctrine of Bliss, as it provides a very powerful self heal, which helps a lot in leveling. After that you will want to max out Life’s Devotion and then take Reparation. This will give you a lot of health when you use Strike of Judgement.
You will be having a lot of survivability with the Justicar abilities and the Faerie pet HoT. You will easily be able to pull multiple mobs and tackle each one of them without losing much health.
Later on you will only need to put into the Shmaman tree. If you want to put points into the Druid tree then take Oak Shield as it will increase survivability.
At level 12, you should be focusing mainly on the Shaman. You should take all Shaman talents besides Thick Skinned and put in only 1 of 3 points into Maelstorm. Later on you will want to put 5 points into Druid’s Strength of Earth and 5 points into Druid’s Spirit of Hunter.
Rift Cleric Leveling Guide Part 3 (Playstyle)L
At lower levels your main ability will be Strike of Judgement. When you engage an enemy you start with Censure and then Spam Strike of Judgement. After the mob is dead use Doctrine of Bliss to heal yourself.
Once you start unlocking more and more Shaman abilities use that as it hits harder than Strike of Judgement. Use Massive Blow when possible. Your rotation priority will be Massive Blow – Massive Hammer – Strike of Judgement . Use your heal whenever needed.
After a while you will not be needing manual heals to heal your self. You will be fine with abilities like Favored of Valnir, Glacial Shield and Unstoppable Force and your Faerie pet’s heal. You can keep on killing mobs without problem. After you get Long Memory you will need to use Crushin blow because it has a chance to proc Massive Blow.
We have seen how to level easily with the Cleric calling in this Rift Cleric Leveling Guide, for other callings have a look at

Rift Rogue Leveling Guide
Rift Rogue Leveling Guide
In this Rift Rogue Leveling Guide, you will learn one of the most effective ways to level. If you are finding it hard to level in this game, then use the Rift Rogue Leveling Guide.
If you are looking for Soul builds, then check out my Rift Rogue builds guide.
Rift Rogue Leveling Guide Part 1 (Soul Selection) :
In this part of the Rift Rogue Leveling Guide we will see the best souls for leveling.
In Rift, you can select up to four souls. You can swap between your souls whenever you want.
The main Rogue calling soul we use for leveling is the Bard. You can change souls depending on your play style. The Bard is a good choice because this soul has great spells like Coda of Wrath and Cadence which both do good amounts of damage.
Your Second choice should be a Ranger. This is mainly chosen because of the Pet it offers. After gaining the pet, there is no point in investing any points in this tree for a long time. You will mostly be investing your points into the Bard tree and then the third soul that you will be picking up. The Ranger pet does good amounts of damage and can also tank some good amounts of damage.
Invigorated Soul is a great spell at lower levels. It does great amounts of damage, where as it heals you and your pet, thus increasing your pets survivability. Due to the nature of this spell, you can now start tanking multiple mobs. You can nuke them down, while your pet easily tanks all the damage.
The final soul you want is the Marksman. This can be swapped for the Bard as the main soul, if you want a change of playstyle. Later levels, its damage surpasses that of the Bard. At lower levels the Bard seems to be a better choice. The Marksman is kept as the third choice because the Ranger is taken for the pet.
Rift Rogue Leveling Guide Part 2 (Talent Point Allocation and Playstyle) :
In this part of the Rift Rogue Leveling Guide we will see how to use your talents points and the best playstyle for leveling.
As you hit level 10, you will need to put in all 10 points into the Bard tree. You will need to take 3/3 of Invigorated Soul and the remaining available points into Anthem of Glory, your tenth point will unlock Anthem of Competence, which is a good ability.
You will then want to start putting points into Marksman tree, because at later levels the Marksmen abilities will do more damage than the lower level Bard abilities. Use Empowered Shot along with Cadence and use a 5 point Deadeye shot. This can kill almost any viable enemy.
On the way to level 30, you should pick up Improved Swift Shot and On the Double as they are great leveling talents. Till level 30, you will need to keep putting in points into the Marksman tree.
At level 30, if you are feeling your pet is weak then its okay to respec. But if your fine with this, then leveling is pretty easy from here onwards.
If you want to respec then you will get a better pet at 24 points. This pet can tank a lot better and can deal much more amounts of damage. The talents you will want to pick along the way to that pet are Killing Focus, Bestial Fury, Piercing Shot, Exposure, and Trick Shot. You can take other talents depending on your playstyle.
After this you will need to put 8 points in the Bard tree, so that you get Invigorated Soul and then get Deadeye shot in the Marksman tree. You can use this build to level faster. If you are comfortable with the pre 30 leveling spec then you can continue using that till level 50.
